THE SENIOR ADVISOR

Andreas Hess (1955) on his professional career:
„Coming from a media family, I began my career at the Kirch Group after studying law. After eight years at the Kirch Group, most recently as Head of Marketing, Legal, and Production, I moved to a company in the Bertelsmann Group in Hamburg as Sales Manager for Nonprint Media Distribution. Until I started my independent consulting work, I spent several years as Managing Director of Ravensburger Film + TV GmbH. Developing a joint venture from encounters is a challenging task for me. Together with my conversation partners, sketching a dream for the future and successfully realizing this project against all odds motivates me every day."

With HESS – HOFHEIM Medien- & Produktionsberatung e.K., Andreas Hess has successfully supported numerous well-known national and international media companies, including film and TV production companies, post-production companies, broadcasters, licensing distribution and media service companies, as well as publishers. Notably, he was involved in the establishment and management of the children's channel Nickelodeon Germany for the international media corporation Viacom.

In 2000, he founded A.C.H. GmbH, which successfully produced over 40 TV productions as a production and project service provider. As a managing partner, he led Christopher Vertriebs GmbH, a financial distribution company for closed-end funds and private equity investments, working with 260 financial service providers. From 2009, he served as the managing director of Christopher Film
Capital GmbH with six film funds and one private equity fund.

Through his career as a management consultant, he gained extensive experience in managing venture and growth companies. As a supervisory board member and in his position as an advisory board member in several companies, he also acquired experience in the integration and restructuring of businesses.
As an interim manager or general representative, he has successfully and swiftly implemented corporate goals and strategies, even in companies outside the media industry.

As the son of the director of a public broadcasting corporation, Andreas Hess has been intrinsically connected to the media market since childhood and has been active in this field for over 40 years.
